I remember working in a bike shop in high school and
we had a Cannondale frame with a damamged headtube on
warranty. They (the factory) wanted us to destroy the
frame by cutting a chunk out of one of the chain
stays. So we hacksawed out about 3 inches on one
stay, layed it over and had a guy stand/bounce on the
stays...they still wouldn't bend.

That said, I have also had a StumpJumper S-works
frame crushed by Airborne Express. The box still had
tire marks on it when they dropped it off with a
sheepish look on their face....Grrrr...

Good luck,

Paul
