Sort of intrigueing. Roll bar height has been a topic for eons. At one
point, we were hassled because our rollbar was not two inches above
John's helmet (I'm shorter-waisted, didn't have a problem). No protest
was filed, but it was threatened. (Part of the political crap of that
era) Some of this is the result of ever-improving helmets...they're
thicker and jut up higher, making a rollbar that was once legal illegal.
All this leaves me scratching my head...why did we put a taller rollbar
in if grandfathering is okay? Our car is older than that specific Cobra
by 4.5 years :) and came with a single behind-the-driver hoop. --Pat K
