More cars in the class. And people like to join a big local class, but
don't like to join a class with only one or two regular competitors.
Around here, anyway.

Deeper trophies, and deeper talent. People stand up and pay attention
to the big classes -- and like to join them.

A very good point, and one I often make myself, so it's somewhat
embarrassing to have overlooked it this time. Thanks for setting me
straight.

People are, unfortunately, already scared. There are about four people
right here in Philly Region who want to get into Real Race Cars, and
like the budget of FM, but are afraid of the instability of the class.
I realize that I'm only making matters worse in the short term, but I'm
trying to make things better in the long term for the entire race car
community, as well as the larger Solo II community.

If my views aren't in the majority, then so be it. Still nothing wrong
with voicing them, is there?

P.S. As for Josh's comment that autocrossing FF's have little value in
road racing, that's only because we're all cheapskates buying the cars
that are already cheap because they have no value in road racing. The
older and newer cars both have value, and could easily be converted from
one to the other.

On the other hand, Kenny and Jim both pointed out that BM cars and F5's
are also not likely to go back to the road racing world once they've
been converted, so perhaps that point is moot.
