I'm sure there is a rev limiter of else Mitsu wouldn't be able to offer
a warranty on 'em cuz we'd keep blowing them up.
My DOHC Neon also goes 250 rpm past redline before the rev limiter kicks
in at 7250 rpms.
Most cars will actually go a little past redline before the rev limiter
kicks in so you can "safely" run the motor to redline without fear of
bumping the rev limiter and bringing a rather abrupt halt to your fun.
