So, I suppose you also need to provide the computer to read
the CD-ROM? Afterall, you can't prove much by just flashing
a silver disc. That could get a bit expensive -- you'd need
to buy a laptop just to go racing.
And, what should people do when the manufacturer will not give
either form of manual to the public? (Some won't.)
I suppose such cars could never win
because the competitors could protest anything and you'd
lose. I guess that could be the ultimate weenie protest,
but wholly effective at eliminating a bunch of competitive
cars -- per the letter of the rules.
