Seems that there's a potential concern with the dipstick, unless you
measured it against the stick which came in the GT's 1725 block. Were they
the same? Also, is the mounting boss for the dipstick the same on both
blocks? A 'No' or an 'I'm not sure' could lead to confusion, but that can
be remedied.
If you know which dipstick is which, measure them and the receptacle on
the GT block. If you find/ found them to be the same as a Series Alpine
block then, again, you should be ok. If not, just monitor your oil very
carefully until you feel you can trust the dipstick you presently have as a
'safe measure.'
