You have a custom tail light assembly. A normal tail light assembly has
only two lights, the top turn signal is a single bulb unit and the
bottom is a dual bulb which supports the brake and driving lights. I
have seen several guys convert their tail lights to a three bulb unit by
cutting a hole in the chrome housing and adding another light socket.
This also requires another hole to be cut into the body at the taillight
mounting location. It's a pretty slick conversion and is probably a
very good idea because you now have two brake lights instead of one.
