red me that 8000 reliable RPM was very achievable in the 70s when Bob was r=
acing the TR6. It was the 6350 RPM harmonic imbalance of having only 4 main=
bearings that brought about crank failure. He stated that they would spend=
5k in the 70s on a billet crank, and it could still be counted on to fail =
before or after the huge counterweight. He said 10 laps, or 100, at some po=
int, the crankshaft was most always the culprit.<o:p></o:p></span></p></div=
