6-Pack Listers,
I don't know if any of you out there have experienced the same issues and
experience I have had with the Luk clutchs from TRF. Today, I am putting in my
3rd clutch in the 5 years I've owned my 6.
I replaced the original clutch with a LUK, when I bought the car in 2000 and
replaced it again with a LUK in May 2003 when rebuilding the motor, because of
a broken finger. I knew it needed replacement at that time due to alot of
whistling noise it made.
Now, while the tranny is out to replace a rear main seal (also only 2 years old
and from the same vendor), I find that the clutch needs to be replaced again
due to excessive wear on both the pressure plate and flywheel. This time the
clutch lasted 2 years and 6500 miles (since the motor re-build).
Has anyone come across similar issues with the LUK cluch or do I have to
re-examine how I'm using the clutch pedal?
Regards,
Seth Glassman
