RE: pop rivets - GRRRR!

My experience with SS pop rivets is not good. Most of the time the shank
of the rivet snaps before the rivet has compressed fully and I am left
with a loose rivet that is hard to drill out. I like the idea of SS but
I inevitable end up using aluminum. I'm using a good quality manual
rivet gun so maybe it is the equipment or the technique that is wrong.
