Joe--If the teeth tips are sharp/pointed, they are worn and should be replaced. 
 Just compare the feel with a new set and you'll immediately tell the 
difference. I have a few thousand miles on the cheaper chain with no problems.  
Richard Good's stuff is excellent; also consider Isky Z-19 if you in the market 
for a streetable non-wild cam.
