Turn Signals

question:  I recently bought a 76 TR6 and the turn
signals worked and now they don't.  the car had sat
for 10 years and I think i was the first person to
pull the hazard switch... ofcourse the knob broke off
and i pushed the switch back in (and it went all the
way in)  Will this prevent the turn signals from
working, from the wiring diagram it looks like the
power comes in to the turn signal ciruit via the
hazard swith?
