James,
If I remember correctly, you do not have a key for the car. In order to
crank the engine without the power to the distributor, just pull the
electrical part of the ignition switch from the key
mechanical part (it clips on) and use a screwdriver to turn the square
port in the electrical part of the ignition switch. To disable the
distributor, just pull off the spade wire connection at the distributor
that comes from the coil.
