Thre is a problem with connecting the front/back systems together.  THe disc
brakes over the life of the pads will "move" more than the rear drum pads.
This causes the slave cylinders to require more fluid.  That's why the
resiviour for the front is bigger than the rear.

Connecting the tube straight across, back to back, front to front should be
OK, but tying them common is going to end up a problem

I tried that and made the front and rear systems common. Got good
brake feel but randomly at different pedal  heights. Seemed safe
enough but was awkward to use.

If you are prepared to live without the warning lite but still
have separate systems you would have to mechanically plug up the
internal shuttle valve passageway from both sides.
