Thanks, that could be it. I'll look into that further. If this wire is found
on many USA cars, I need to revise my book to mention it. That would make
sense, though, now that I think about it. The fuel pump is in the trunk, so
that white wire would follow the rear harness back. Wonder why some USA cars
had it and some didn't.
