   Hi folks,
I've been thinking of getting the tube shock conversion set-up
for my '76. This would be the kit that bolts directly to the lever shock
mounts, with the KYB shocks. Now I'm hearing about possible problems
with chassis cracks and flexing issues. I'm curious just how many kits
are in use and how many bad experiences have occured as a result of
them. I have no plans to race this car, other than the usual backroad
hijinks we all tend to exert on these little beasts.
Also, I need to get my rear hubs rebuilt. Any suggestions who I
should go to for this? Any responses with quality, price, and service
would be quite helpful. At least I'm assuming the left hub is bad, due
to the clicking noise I hear while taking a slow right hand turn. I'm
told that a bad u-joint would be noisy all the time, not just in certain
circumstances.
Any thoughts from the Triumph-wise would be very much appreciated!!
       TIA,
Kevin Thompson
