When I got my 6 several years ago it can with a hardtop, as a matter of fact
I drove it back from Omaha to St. Louis with the top on it and had not put
it back on the car until this year when my 12 year old was wondering what it
looked like with the "top on". Initially the top had the round pads and sat
directly on the rear deck. But before re-installing it this year I added
the two side gaskets and the rubber gasket around the back and the top
doesn't 'sit' on the rubber pads. Also the two side windows don't meet the
back of the weather stripping but I assumed one could always adjust the
height of the windows I just never messed with it.
