Gotcha covered, Brad.  Three ways. 1) I can pop out the rubber plug and open 
the bonnet manually, 2) The power lead to the solenoid will be easily 
accessable, so I can jumper it with a good battery, and 3)  The cable can be 
released from the solenoid easily, so it can be pulled by hand. Twice burned, 
thrice wary, they say.

No more #@&^#%# bonnet problems!
