Mark,
I use a Mr. Gasket pump on my '71. Since the pump puts out about 8psi
(if I remember correctly) I also use a regulator that drops the pressure to
about 2.5psi. Have used it for almost 2 years with Zero problems. Bought it
at Pep Boys, but lots of stores carry the same pump. It is a pusher type
pump, so must be mounted near the tank like the SU electrics are. I just
fabbed up a bracket to adapt it to the stock mounting points.

What
are people running for electric fuel pumps? I replaced the mechanical one
in
the '58 so that I could make it to the Colorado Conclave, and all that did
was
waste my time and piss me off when it vapor locked every 3 miles (never
did
make it to Conclave). It's time for an electric that works. What are
people
running that supplies 3 psi? Any experience with the Facet pumps (the
block,
not the cast plastic- I tried one and it died too) that push 3psi at
most? Any
wiring tips for the Facet-i.e. do I need to attach the (-) wire to
the body of
the pump as well as the (-) wire to keep it alive? (I'll isolate
the pump from
the car body to limit vibration and isolate (-) and (+)).
