Curtiss "Commando" = C-46, Jack. Unlike the DC-3, it had a "relatively" wide body for bulkier payloads. From everything I've read it was a rugged "can do" airplane but a tad short on HP. Evidently, It's engine out performance left a little to be desired I guess. :) Cap'n Bob Basic Frog |
