Larry,

That makes total sense, seeing that I put a really nice thick coat of 
eastwood's chassie 
black on the rack assembly, and also used the 'orginal gaskets on the mounting 
clamps, 
In fact, I can't think of any place that there is a 'direct' metal to metal 
contact 
between the rack and the body.
