Bruce,

If I remember correctly, these are snug, but not a press fit and can be
easily removed, sometimes with your little finger or something you can hook
to the back lip and gingerly withdraw. I remember reading somewhere that
this bronze bush is porous should be soaked in oil for a while before
installing.
