Don't forget the friggin' fire alarm going off 4 times in the middle of the
night!

I at the check out desk the next morning it was the first, if not only, time
I've seen George visibly pissed. All I had to say at the desk was "What he
said"

Yea, Pat Goss, with Motorweek on public TV.

I cringe every time I think of that. I told him when I first talked to
him that this was a car group, and they knew stuff. That night before
he went up I told him it was a group of car nuts and many if not most
did their own work, and many were very good mechanics, that he should
tell some interesting stuff from his TV show, work etc, and then he went
into what had to be his stock schtick that he uses when talking to the
Red Hat Ladies group or something. I also gave him several hints that
his time was up. I paid him and was glad to be rid of him. Thought it
would be neat to have a "tv star " that knew about cars....can't pick a
winner every time. That is why I don't go out of my way to get speakers
anymore, haven't found a good one since Denise McCluggage, and you have
to admit she was fun. A grandma that drives 150 in Ferraris?

That was a tough evening for me in Maryland, the lady that fell, the
staff that picked up dishes during the event, and took away food as
people were still standing in line....and fighting with the staff over
just getting into the room to set up the event and charity auction!
Then they didn't want to stay late, so I had to keep paying them extra
money. The lady I dealt for the banquet was a real B___H. The manager
of the hotel agreed with me and I asked him why he didn't tell me that
earlier! (of course he wanted to sell the rooms and we wouldn't have
chosen his place if I knew what I would run into in the banquet).

Yea, thanks for bringing all of THAT memory up for me Kirk! :)
