Don't bother with the Pur systems. With municipal water systems, they don't
do much. What you want out can only be removed with a RO process. There are
table top RO systems but for the small increment in price, you can do a
bigger one. The tabletop ones have a really low capacity/flow rate.

So clearly, at those kinds of prices, I don't want a whole house system. I
didn't want to have to run a separate line to the kitchen sink just for
this, but I may have to. I'll have to look around at systems. For our
purposes, it may be sufficient just to put a Pur filter or something on the
faucet and the icemaker.
