I'll add another vote for Makita.  I have a bunch of the 18V with 5Ah
batteries and a couple double-battery fast chargers.  As other said, I like
being able to use the batteries in everything from my drill or impact to my
string trimmer or leaf blower.  I have a 2Ah IIRC in a small drill that is
quite light and easy to carry up ladders, etc.
