JOE - I should think that once she has established a US residence (ie
mailing address, etc.) she "should" be able to insure the car with any
number of the classic insurers listed at gomog. Where she might have
trouble is if she intends the Morgan to be her only/daily use driver.
That'll make it tough. Tell her to buy a cheapo "beater" if she has to to
show THAT'S her primary driver. (And it should be!)

That's a fair question - she's a returning resident
with dual (US-UK) citizenship. That entitles her to
bring the car over for one year, but does not answer
the question of how to insure it.
The car has arrived via Port Newark, but can't be
driven without insurance. Frustrating in the extreme.

Hello folks,
Many of you drive your Morgans as your regular car,
so perhaps you can help me out.
A friend recently moved here from England and will be
registering her Morgan in NJ, but she is having trouble
finding an insurer. My insurance agent, CNA, could not
find a company that would insure her 1999 4/4.
May I ask what insurance company and agent you use?
I'm trying to find one that understands what a Morgan
is and has some sort of precedent.
