Lew,

The chassis has a tapped 1/4" BSF hole. I think, but I am not certain, that a bolt was screwed upwards through the chassis and the apron was held down with a chromed domed nut and washer.

Regards,

Peter.

Could someone please tell me what size fasteners are use to hold down the
front fairing between the fenders? I see from photos that the dome nuts and
flat washers are on top of the fairing, but I cant tell whether they are <
or 2 BA. The reason I ask is that the two holes in the chassis on the off
side of the car are slightly larger than <. One on the near side is only
large enough to pass a 2 BA or 10-32 screw, yet the other hole on the near
side chassis rail is tapped for a < BSF bolt.

If the holes were not tapped, what holds the screw in when the fairing is
removed?

Cheers,

Lew Palmer
