I have two "extra" parts and I need help locating them in the reassembly
process.

My front shocks were completely rusted together after 30 years in boxes.
After much soaking, cleaning, etc. I have them ready for reassembly. I have
replaced the brass cups, wood friction disks, center bushes, etc., with new.
What I didn't replace, I blasted, buffed, primed & painted.

Along with the balance of the rebuild parts came two soft rubber
washers/bushes/? which look to be 3/4" long and same dia. as center bolt, cut
from a thin walled rubber tube.

Can someone tell me the function they perform and where these rubbers go?

Thanks,

Don B.
