"auto">In fairness to our beloved cars, a billet crank may have made things w=
orse in this case. Number 1 cylinder cracked catastrophically, the cylinder h=
ydro locked and the rest is history=E2=80=A6<div>Block was spared but number=
one bearing cap cracked as well. Had a billet crank been in there I c=
ould have lost the head and/or block as well as the crank! </div><div>I=

ver was an engine from a Jag 420 (a genuine piece O=E2=80=99 crap except for=
the lovely dashboard). The engine was running, but when I took it apart the=
crank came out in six pieces. The transmission made the engine look primo. I=
guess it=E2=80=99s buyer beware when you buy a Jag for 1000 bux. <div>=

tapered at one end. Just need to make sure that when assembling that t=
he taper is on the inside and facing the crank to match the taper in the key=
way. Some engine builders have gotten this wrong with not so good resu=
