Heck, I can make anything including gearsets and shafts but no one in their=
right mind will do it because of the costs involved. Hewland Mk 9 gears se=
ts cost $325 each at this point, times four or five is not cheap. When a do=
g box brakes it's 2-4K for repairs and parts. A Jerico is fine if you need =
the extra weight and are prepared to lose some acceleration because of the =
added moment of inertia weight of the giant gears and shafts.
If someone can guarantee an order for say 30 sets I would be glad to do a q=
uote for the TR4/6 close ratio set up, I would also need a good set for eng=
ineering purposes.
I guess my point is if guys are whining about paying $85 each for steel syn=
chro's to fix the stock gearbox issues, I think they would come unglued hav=
ing to pony up for the close ratio gear sets. If there is a stock of these =
gears sets somewhere please tell me and I will buy them all at the current =
price. Realistically they should cost 3 times or more than what they sell f=
or today.
