Too cool, Paul. Your post made me realize that it's been nearly 8 years
since I first subscribed to this list. I'd been on the 510 list for just
over a year, reading about this Shasta thing. After reading the reports and
seeing the pictures from the Shasta '97 All-Datsun, we decided to drive out
in '98.

We met Gordon, Michael/Calspeed , Fred, the Kenyons, along with a whole lot
of other 510, Z-Car and Roadster folks. Had a really great time so I decided
to jump on this list, primarily just to keep my hand in. We made the trip
out again in '99 and met Les and Dennis among others. Since then the list
has grown, some folks have left, new members have joined. Some of us have
moved quite a distance, lost jobs, found new ones, but stayed on the list.

I've made so many good friends here, and count myself very fortunate that
there are so many roadster savvy folks here in Central Texas. Some might
find the conversations that I have with Marc Tyler, Pat Horne, Tom Walters
and others disjointed and wandering since while we may start on Roadsters,
we'll soon wander to photography, computers, flying, construction and no
telling what else. However I suspect most of you would ramble right along
with us.

I'm on several, probably way too many lists. This one is really special and
a "place" that I look forward to visiting every day.

I wish happy, safe roadstering for all of us for many more years,

Ron
