Yep, this was the water tower thread.....had to add my two cents. Yep, I am
a strong believer
in anti-sieze for any fastener being screwed into aluminum. I also work on
outboards, which see salt water here. You have to do the water pump every
2-3 years...and if you dont use anti-size, your going to be snapping off
fasteners the second time around.
PB Blaster, some heat on the steel fastener, and whacking usually get them
loose over time. Sometimes a loooong time.....
If they do snap off, then its usually machine shop time. I just get pissed
off at "easy outs". Very much the wrong name for this tool. Should be
called "last chance" or "fat chance" or "oh crap".
