Hi Guys!
About 3 years ago, my 74 Jensen Healey (with the Lotus 2.0 L engine) broke
the cam belt, which pretty much bent half the valves and created visions of
$ running out of my hands. So I decided to put in the 215 BOPR V8. It just
started up the other day! Boy! What a difference! It is a totally
different animal! And this engine is basically stock with a 4 barrel! I
asked my friends with the Lotus powered Jensen Healey's to come over and
take it out for a spin. As soon as they clicked the starter over and heard
that sweet V8 tone, a smile came over their faces and grew bigger with each
passing second as they drove away! Now they all want to convert their cars
over. So even though this one is not quite finished and was done on a very
limited budget, it proved the idea was worthy. Thanks to everyone on this
list for their advice, help and support through the process of making an
idea into reality!
Since this one has all the trial and error stuff done on it and just needs
some wiring for the lights & painting to be finished, I will start on the
high performance version in the second JH that has been sitting in my
driveway patiently waiting for it's turn.
I would like to get about 250 - 280 HP out this next engine. What would
the list recommend for modifications of the engine to get to that point?
