Great to hear about your successful conversion, Roger. Another example of
how perfect the B/R v8 is for replacing smaller, highly stressed and
potentially unreliable engines.

To get that much power from a 3.5 is going to need a lot of airflow work,
and higher revs. Solid lifters, adjustable pushrods or adjustable rockers
plus ported, maybe big valve heads. My 3.9 with edelbrock 500 and performer
manifold measured 226 flywheel bhp on an accurate rolling road recently, and
that is with TR8 cast manifolds. Main thing is the big , wide torque curve.
Measured with an SPA electronic programmable speedo my TR7V8 acheived 0-60
in 6.1 seconds with loads of wheelspin.

You can get 94mm liners from Rimmers www.rimmerbros.co.uk if you can get
your local machine shop to do the work, alternatively consider a ready built
4.0 or 4.6 from RPI www.v8engine.com

I've been trying to persuade a friend of mine in the UK who has patterns
made for cast iron turbo manifolds to start marketing a simple turbo kit
with blow-through 4-barrel and no intercooler but at the moment all he can
talk about is the 5.7LS1 engine he's buying for his TR7.

All of the above just a few opinions of mine, |I look forward to reading the
ideas of the other subscribers
