You do not want a tranny from an S-10, the shift lever is in the wrong place. 
You
need a Camero tranny, & only the V-8 will give you the 2.95 1st gear. You will 
have
to make/buy a simple adapter for the rear mount to kill the 17` angle on the 
pad. If
you do not want to make one, D & D Fabrications has them for about $25.00.
