3.8L cover?
The only 3.8 cover i've sourced is a sort of Buick
relation, a "variant" used on the Australian
Holden Commodore. The oil
pump is driven from the crank nose and is integral
with where the harmonic balancer (front bottom
pulley) fits up.

Does the oil pump drive come from the distributor
end on the Buick V6 3.8L?
(We don't see much, if any Buick stuff down
under...so you'll understand why we're asking).

Yes, the Rover covers like the "SD1" with the
lip-seal rather than rope (which leaks) are
obtainable second
hand but aren't cheap and are usually quite worn
where the doggs run.
