Anyone,
I am working on a 1979 MGB and it every time I fix one thing, I find
another to fix. Right now, I am replacing a Stromberg 175CD with a new
SU HIF44 Carb. When I took off the old carburetor I found that there was
a Heater/Spacer between the carb and the intake manifold. It doesn't
have the wire hooked to it (no where around) and therefore I want to
know... Do I need this or can I put a spacer back in its place. Or do I
just leave it without any spacer at all.
Another subject; There is a Thrust Rod that attaches to a bracket bolted
to the Bell Housing and the other end mounts to the Rear Transmission
Mount/Cross Member. Does anyone have one of these that I can get right away?
Can anyone show me a picture of the Fuse, or Relay where the wire
sending power to the Radiator Cooling Fans starts. I am not getting
power to the Fans. My fans are new and they work if I put power to them.
However, they do not work without my jumper wire.
