"I think the "death" of Russ Wiles autocross career is incorrect and could
easily be verified by typing in "Russ Wiles autocross" in Google to
determine that he is still one of the fastest autocrossers in the country.

Russ Wiles ran six (6) Nationals and has not shown his face there since
1991.
He drove a BMW 325 in 1986, finishing fifth in G Stock. He won in 1987 and
1988 in the 325.
Wiles switched to an M3 for '89 and '90, winning C Stock in 1990.
The SEB moved him and his M3 to A Stock for 1991 which he won. After that
he stayed home in Bismarck, SD. He was not happy about his car's
classification but I don't know the details.
Sometime after he stopped doing Nationals I saw him at the BMW
convention autocross in Santa Rosa. (I had a photo assignment from BFG to
cover the event.)
Glad to hear he continues to compete.
