So we had a really big weekend at the other bay area
autocross site. We spent three days there and lots of
folks were well entertained as well as well taught.
Peggy and I are very tired. I think most of you ought
to be so too.
The instructor response was most overwhelming and
marvelous. We actually had more than a 1:1 ratio for
the first time ever that I know of. And what a group
of instructors! A dozen National Champions! Dozens of
local champions. Wonderfully generous folks all. Man,
it don't even come close to this anywhere else in the
world!
Makes me feel kinda manic just being part of it all.
And did you all see just how well your students ran on
Sunday?
Marvelous, simply marvelous.
There were about a dozen free instructor entries
unclaimed on Sunday. I will honor them at any event
throughout the year. Not as a payback, just as a thank
you. No way Peggy and I can do any of this without the
support of the whole community.

You know, there is a fellow named Bruce Parker in
Sacramento that has done some lengthy statistical
studies correlating driving training with accidents
and tickets and found a solid 75% reduction in BOTH
categories, 85% for under 25 age group folks! This is
very good stuff you folks are doing out there!

But, as usual, I have a depressive side to this. I
read on Monday morning that several folks are feeling
cheated by me for the school not accommodating them,
Nemy feels cheated that I haven't "gotten over" 8
years of only being allowed 2 autocrosses a year for
my $75 dues in HIS club, and whoever this Lolita boy
is [could he be a heretofore unknown Smoker Bro?]
demands apologies for who knows what.
Bah.
Anyone want to buy a fully equipped autocross trailer?
We get to meet the nicest folks out there. And a few
insect based life forms.

It's a joke boy, I say it's a joke. Foghorn Leghorn,
circa 1963.
