And also in this utopian society, not only will roadblocks be set up to
check for drunkedness and diabetic ketoacidosis, drivers that appear sleepy
will be required to pass computerized reaction tests while hooked up to an
EEG.

So, if the government could make money off of diabetic or sleepy drivers,
they would.

For the South Dakota guy, they should send him to prison where he would get
all of his diabetic supplies paid for and probably delivered to his cell
door every day.

For autocrossers... the registration process should screen for potential
problems like states of altered awareness, so show up alert if you want to
play.  As a SSS, my biggest health worry is that the additional stress of
autocrossing could cause a heart attack or stroke in a susceptible
individual, and if the person is on course at the time and a traumatic
medical event happens, things could get really ugly.
