Hi, David---Knowing little about the Lucas PI system, can you not advance the initial ignition timing, without upsetting the timing of the PI pulses? You indicated that more timing at idle might solve the richness problem. On a carbed engine Lucas distributor, there are ways to substantially advance timing at idle, and still control total advance.
