Hi,
Having spent the weekend getting drenched in petrol while changing
the fuel line on our Mk1 2000, I have decided to change all of the brake
pipes - they look to be of the same vintage as the fuel line, which is a
scary prospect considering how rusty that was! I want to invest in a decent
flaring kit to make my own brake lines and I'd be grateful for
reccomendations. I'm not interested in the cheap sets sold through motor
factors as I want this to be a one time purchase to add to my tool kit -
I've found the cheaper sets to be more hassle than they're worth. Eastwood
have a decent looking set for around 90 UKP, while one of the local
engineering suppliers quoted 140. Anyone have any experience of the Eastwood
set? Any other suggestions for a supplier in the UK?
