- Does anyone know of a simple way to identify what differential (3.7 or 4.1) is fitted to a TR4? I have checked all my sources and cannot find any way of differentiating (no pun) between the types usi

- As old as these cars are, I would say those are the only reliable ways. The gear sets interchange, so what it started out with is no indication of what it has today. However, the calibration number

- What does your tach read at 60mph? If a 3.7 it should read about 3000 rpm. If a 4.10 it will read higher. That's considering you have the stock size tires fit. I will send you an excel spreadsheet th

- The 3.7 gears have a smear of seafoam( light) green paint on the pumpkin cover to indicate the gearing. Of course with partsgetting changed from car to car, it maynot be there anymore. I don't know w
