I'm answering these questions based on my 69 GT6, which has very much the same electrical stuff as the Spitfire... Fuse box is on the firewall in the engine bay, LH side. There are three fuses in it.

I know it's really *heresy*, but I've got a 1968 Camaro body shell out in the pasture, and I've got a spare 1147cc engine from a Mark 1 Spitfire, so I was thinking of putting that in the Camaro. Any

Have you read about the V12 in the Ford GT90 prototype? It was built from the front 3 1/2 cylinders of one V8 married to the rear 2 1/2 cylinders of another. Maybe I could make a 2294cc straight-8? W

I'll disagree a bit on this point, TeriAnn. While there ARE lots of squaretailed Spits out there, the Mk.1,2,3 Spits are getting ever harder to find. If someone wants to cobble up a 1500, I don't car

Ha! You are making the mistake of believing that all Z-S carbs are created equal! Not so... Some have adjustable jets, some have adjustable needles, and some don't have adjustable nothing. Your missi

So far, I seem to buy only those cars that have non-adjustable carbs. They were on the first environmentally friendly engines, around 1968-1969. They came "factory adjusted" so mere mortals wouldn't
