- For about $200 I had my old one re-cored with a modern core (more fins & tubes) sans the crank hole & even here in the Phoenix summer it never gets above 185F. I highly recommend that approach... --

- You need water for rust. Brake fluid is not water so it does not support the development of rust. However, traditional brake fluid is hydroscopic (sp?) which means it absorbs water from the atmospher
