Talk to any radiator shop. Black enamel actually retains heat. A special radiator paint is used to dissipate heat.

My MKIA B382002668 has the dust cap. It can be easily removed by sliding it around the finger pull. It has a small fiber washer inside the cap. Perhaps to seal in vaoprs ??? Dave Johnson
