If you have lots of blow by, switch to a heavier oil with a sticky oil additive. I used bulk 50wt oil and 2 cans of STP in my old alpine when it was really sucking it up with just regular 20-50wt. It

In no way would I expect a V-8 converted Alpine to sell for more than a really good tiger, unless it was built for a specific purpose, like Racing, where performance alone will dictate the price. The

I would never do that! When I do my Alpine conversion, the car will always say "Alpine" on the side. Why? Because that's what it is. The engine may be a Buick, and the valve covers say "Offenhouser",
