If you have lots of blow by, switch to a heavier oil with a sticky oil
additive. I used bulk 50wt oil and 2 cans of STP in my old alpine when
it was really sucking it up with just regular 20-50wt. It actually
helped alot. More power, better compression, and a LOT less smoking and
blow by. That worked great for about a year, when even that wouldn't
stop the blow by. The blow by finally melted the exhaust side of the
piston when going up a hill floored in third. What the hell, it lasted
a year longer than it would have without it.!!
