Keith, I would actually guess that your voltage stabilizer is miswired or bad. I believe this is attached to the back of the speedo (but am not sure) but it would cause your temp gauge to do this, as

Unless I am mistaken (knowing the car) it is the fuel and temp gauge. Right Patrick If it were the voltage stabliser the fule gage would give the same results. Check you havent tightened down the roc
