I am planning the same job - I was given a pair of MX5 (European name for the Miata) seats for Xmas, but have been too busy moving house to do the job! I found another description of the process by

I'm also in the middle of this same project. I found some seats out of a '92 Miata...they're in perfect condition!!! Teglers site shows the most info. What I plan to do is a sort of "copycat" of his
